Your thought, your choice

Let me make it very simple here, What you think leads to what you feel, and it leads to how you express it. You see horror movie, you got back home, you think of that creepy creature that you saw in that movie creeping on top of your huge wardrobe facing that super king size bed that you sleep on, and you start to feel very scared, and the thought of that creepy creature jumping off the wardrobe onto you will definitely lead you to express yourself in certain ways! Even though that has got nothing to do with the reality or that moment.

By simply becoming more self aware of the present moment, all will become more relevant and connectable because dogs live in the present moment all the time. Dogs don't dwell in the past or plan for the future like how a human does. Dogs stay connected to the present moment by staying connected to their senses all the time. Their primary sense is the sense of smell, followed by sense of sight, and hearing in that order.

Naturally when a puppy is born, their eyes and ears will only open after 14 days and 21 days respectively. From day 1, they will look for their mother's breast to breast feed and they will only have a nose to look for the mother's milk and nature designs them with temporary heat sensors to do so.

Therefore, it's very important whenever we human are getting connected with dogs, we allow them to use the nose first to find information about you, or the changes in the environment. For example, if i wan to introduce new food to my dog, I will calmly walk to him and let him smell the food and sees how he reacts and allow him to connect to the food through his primary sense instead of shouting from far 'hey Leo, i have new treats for you!!!!' while flashing the treats vigorously with my hands!!!

tips: If you want to spot a healthy dog, look for the sniffy ones and not the one that gives that tensed eye contact.
